The table below provides the cost of installation for each of the seven solar arrays, plus the combined installation cost for the entire Big Rivers solar project ($340,401.60).

The average cost to the consumer for residential electricity in the US as of June 2017 is 13.22 cents per kWh and in Kentucky is 10.68 cents per kWh.

The table below provides the estimated cost of energy (without subsidy) of the electricity generated by the 7 arrays projected over the 25 year life. Using a historically low 2.5% interest rate and a 25 year straight line depreciation, the expected cost of electricity generated by this project is 19 cents per kWh.
